There are many more gifted introverts than gifted extroverts.  So many gifted people, adults and children alike, tend to keep to themselves, enjoying the company of a good book, or friends in small numbers.  Some, of course, love being with a lot of people, enjoy crowds, and wouldn't know what to…

Very relaxing, by the way.

Hmm… I don't know much about Aikido, yet. 🙂
I'll have to check into it a bit to learn more.
Thanks!

I hike or ski. I really have a lot of fun. What I also like about these activities is I can be alone if I want to be.

That's an awesome idea! Finding things that work both as an individual and as a group is a great way to have company when you want and be alone when you want. Thanks!

This is a problem. One I'm trying to overcome with Wii "Just Dance." Dancing in the privacy of my living room, but it's fun.

Someone I know once told me she used Wii Fit as one of her big sources of keeping healthy. It was a form of exercise she could do without having to find her way to a gym to do it.

I haven't explored the Wii all that much, but it sounds like it's worth the investigation.

Sometimes it's the most seemingly crazy things that make us feel the best. When we can actually get up and do them it's so energizing!
Thanks for the ideas.

Getting into the yard, maybe cutting the lawn or playing a bit in the flower gardens.  Basically communing with nature.

I love being out in nature as well. It has such a therapeutic effect for me. I think there's something about connecting with other types of living things…

Must be something else we (all?) got in common : being out there in nature.
Love it too!
Come to think of it… just another one of the many reasons why I've got my dog too : he's so uhhh natural ;-) … what you see, is what you get, no hidden agenda's, no pretending, he just IS. And he's there for me.

Like the word "connecting" Sonia!
In my case, it sometimes even goes that far, that I just start whistling to the birds, in the hope they reply (which they sometimes really do and that can make me so stupidly happy – I've stopped doing that in front of most other people though, as they declare me mad, but especially, they don't seem to get what it does to me, they ruin the moment and the feeling).

Kristien, I love your comments!  They're so true for me, too.  This part "In my case, it sometimes even goes that far, that I just start whistling
to the birds, in the hope they reply (which they sometimes really do
and that can make me so stupidly happy…" is my favourite because it's such an honest, innocent and beautiful reply.  Not to mention how crazily close it is to my own thoughts and feelings. ;)

So many others don't understand what we go through, and that's the challenge we face.  But when we find others who experience life much the same way we do, it's like sticking your finger in an outlet – electrifying!
