A circle?  A square?  An oval?  A triangle?  Perhaps a rectangle?

All kidding aside, being physically fit is a challenge that a lot of gifted people face because for many they've spent the good part of their lives being intellectually brilliant (or at least pretty smart smile) and have therefore spent less time than perhaps they should have on taking care of their bodies.  And your brain only gets you so far.  Eventually you have to get up and do something!

So what have you found that really works for you?  How have you incorporated physical fitness in any form into your day?  Even if you take the stairs instead of the elevator or park at the end of the parking lot instead of by the door, share your tips, techniques and secrets.  No matter what level of fitness we are all at, we can always benefit from a new idea!

Some of the ideas that I've come across, especially for people who lean toward being introverted and like to spend time by themselves are:

  • skipping
  • tai chi or tae kwon do
  • wii fit
  • wii dance
  • running on a treadmill
  • practicing tennis to play with a partner later
  • one-on-one basketball

What other ideas do you have?

Bellydancing!

I have an bellydancing exercise dvd I used during my 2nd pregnancy and it's really fun!

Or any exercise video on youtube even. I like any of the dance ones, doesn't feel like exercise.

So fun! This post reminded me. I will set one up tomorrow!

What an amazingly fun idea!  I can't say that I've ever really experienced bellydancing, but it sure is an original way to exercise.  And I've heard that it's great for raising your fitness level, too.

Hmm…
