When I finally realized this about myself, life improved. A big part of the improvement was that I gave myself permission to dabble. And to dabble as long as the dabbling was still interesting me. Once I felt like I had "conquered" that interest enough to satisfy myself, I moved on.

By giving myself permission to be like this, I also lost that feeling of being judged by those around me who I thought were looking at it negatively.

Now, I just get questions like, "What are you going to choose for you next hobby?" Instead of hearing this as a judgment, I hear it as a loved one sharing my joy at discovering so many interesting things in the world.

A total mind shift.

What a great way to look at it! It sounds like you're really confident in this area, and that's a wonderful way to be.

I hope you'll continue to share your insights because I think they will be very beneficial for others here.
