This definintion is simple, direct and includes the complexity of being gifted.  Having a description is a seed for understanding and increases the abilitiy to connect and communicate.  Labels are not the magic pill, but they are a tool for taking steps for developing a body of knowledge and a means of translating the experience.  Yeah!

Is there anything you agree with for sure or think is not quite accurate? I'd like to know how you think it could be improved in any way. Maybe we can add a few more insights from around here!

Hi there,

Great definition. I'm interested in referencing this for academic purposes. Did this occur in a journal article or a book at all? I'd like to be able to cite and attribute it correctly. Thanks!

Hi, Kate.

I just checked the 'for more information' link that is included in my post and the source link had been redefined by the website so I've updated it here as well now. Now if you click on 'read more' you should be redirected to the original article that you can use as a reference. Enjoy!

Hi there,

Great definition. I'm interested in referencing this quote for academic purposes. Did it occur in an article or in a book at all – so I can access the names of those responsible in order to cite and attribute it correctly? Thanks :)
